SMS Terms

Who this covers
This page applies to any SMS or MMS Garten sends on behalf of a contractor customer of ours. That includes: (1) our contractor customer's own outbound texts (lead alerts, missed-call bounce-back, review requests), and (2) any messages we send you directly about your own Garten account.
How you gave consent
You receive Garten SMS only when you took an explicit opt-in step: you filled out a contact form on a Garten-hosted contractor site that included consent language, you called a contractor's Garten-provisioned business line, you replied to a review-request text after a completed job, or you gave your phone number during a Garten account signup and checked the consent box. We never buy or scrape phone numbers.
What we send
Depending on the sender, you may receive: lead-response acknowledgements, missed-call auto text-back with a booking link, review-request texts 18 hours after a completed job, weekly or monthly account summaries, and product notifications about your Garten account. Message frequency varies by usage but does not exceed 15 per month per contractor per recipient.
How to opt out
Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, CANCEL, or QUIT to any Garten-provisioned number and you will immediately stop receiving messages from that number. You will get one final acknowledgement text confirming the opt-out. Reply START or YES from the same number if you later change your mind. We honor STOP requests permanently and per-number; the opt-out is stored on our server, not in a temporary cache.

Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Garten does not charge you for the SMS itself; carrier rates are separate. If your carrier fails to deliver a message (out-of-service number, blocked, filtered) we log the failure but you will not be charged and Garten will not retry that specific message.
Carrier disclaimer
Carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery time is best-effort and typical within seconds but not guaranteed.
Privacy
Your phone number and message history are used only to deliver the service you signed up for and are stored in our secure database. We do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS terms as carrier rules and our product change. Material changes will be notified via email or SMS to active recipients. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect.
